I Found Me and She is Not Done

Over three decades ago, I stepped into the world of security, of which I thought would be temporary, not because it was my plan, but because it was where opportunity led.

I had ambition, curiosity, and a clear vision of where I wanted to be. Recently, I realized, despite not being in the role I wanted to be in 30 years ago – I’m there.

It didn’t happen overnight, and it certainly wasn’t a straight path. But through challenges, constant learning, evolving technologies, and the privilege of working alongside some incredible people, I’ve arrived at a place I once only hoped for.

This moment is a reminder that persistence pays off, and that even uncertain beginnings can lead to fulfilling destinations with time, commitment, and a strong network.

And I’m not done—I’m continuing to dream.

To those just starting out in security—or finding your path unexpectedly: stay the course. You never know when you’ll look up and realize you’re standing in the place you once dreamed of.
